The S-boom telescopic booms made by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight places during construction and industrial jobs. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and is able to stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide operators easy, quick positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks that were previously unreachable by typical jibs. The Z-80/60 model's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This specific feature allows up and over reaching tasks to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms platform needs to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be fully elevated simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing both productivity and efficiency.
