SMAG is a German company and world leader in the manufacture and design of Peiner Buckets and Grapples. Our manufacturing line is comprised of mechanical motor grabs, hydraulic lifting equipment, electro-hydraulic motor grabs, a variety of other kinds of specialized lifting devices and single rope radio control grabs.



Up to date, Peiner has provided more than 75,000 models throughout the world. Our unique grabs deal with a range of materials from cement, iron ores, coke, fertilizers, scrap and refuse, among a range of other products. Our years of experience in developing excellent products and the overall designing process helps to enable our client's receive the proven technology their various applications need.



In the United States marketplace, SMAG/Peiner has been represented by Peiner USA, Inc. Different industries such as Scrap Handling, Steel Mills, Waste to Energy, Bulk Transfer Facilities and numerous other material handling facilities are now using our grabs and buckets to get their jobs done.



Peiner's design philosophy has continually revolved around the idea of producing grabs that handle the largest volume as opposed to grab dead weight. Normally, the bucket and grab lifting ratio's meaning that 60 percent of material is dead weight versus 40 percent grab dead weight. This means moving more quantities of supplies faster. There is less wear and tear on the crane structure and its related parts. By combining manufacturing with high quality materials and innovative design, the desirable weight ratio is attained.



In order to suit the particular needs of our customer's individual needs, grab sizes range from less than 1 cubic yard to more than 50 cubic yards. Peiner USA Inc. also offers a complete service facility and spare parts facility for the units sold within the USA, along with the addition of new grabs and buckets.
