Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
The Bi-Energy and Genie DC machines made by Terex provide emission-free and quiet operation in the most sensitive work applications. For instance, in industrial situations where the machine needs to travel large distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the benefits and flexibility of a diesel powered generator using a 48 Volt DC machinery.
Some of the important characteristics provided by this combination comprise up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete versatility. Furthermore, the zero tail-swing provided by most units, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The proportional and drive controls offer the machinery with smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an additional working range for specific jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is great for outdoor construction applications and industrial applications. This particular model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine over, up and out positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach provided by this type is second to none in the market.
Diesel engine machinery on most modes have an articulating boom which offers zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These equipment are great in small or narrow locations. Moreover, they provide supreme power, exceptional torque and grade and terrain maneuverability. The diesel engines are quiet in general too. Nearly all models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to offer great flexibility on surfaces which are rough and uneven.
High ground clearance is provided in 4 or 2 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom kinds are available and provide extra range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models as well.
