Power Supply
There are four different ways you can power a forklift: electric, gas, propane and diesel. The battery is situated inside the cab under the seat. The propane tank is located on the back of the truck. The fuel tank on gas and diesel forklifts is under the rear of the truck.
Cab
The forklift cab is located within the middle of the truck. This is where the operator sits and accesses all the informational gauges and controls. The gas pedal, steering wheel, brake, lifting controls and tilting controls are all situated in the cab.
Frame
The frame of the truck carries all the biggest components of the forklift, including the counterweights, that are located at the rear in order to stop the truck from tipping when loaded. The frame includes the overhead guard that protects the operator. The undercarriage holds the wheels, driveshaft and axles.
